Common questions
How do I restore my Remove Ads purchase on a new device?
Open the App → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Find the Hallucination purchase and request a refund directly.
If Apple denies your refund and you believe you have a legitimate case, email [email protected] and we'll review your situation. We can't issue refunds directly — Apple controls that — but we'll advocate on your behalf where appropriate.
I bought Remove Ads but I'm still seeing ads
- Make sure you're signed in to the Apple ID that made the purchase
- Open the App → Settings → Restore Purchases
- If that doesn't work, restart the App
- If ads still appear, email [email protected] with your purchase receipt
The game crashes
Try in order:
- Force-quit the App and reopen it
- Restart your iPhone
- Verify you're running iOS 17 or later (required)
- Update to the latest version of Hallucination from the App Store
If crashes persist, email [email protected] with:
- iPhone model and iOS version
- When the crash happens (on launch, during a specific wave, after a specific action)
- Whether you've purchased Remove Ads
My save file is gone
Progress is stored locally on your device. It is not synced to iCloud in v1.0. If you uninstall the App, restore your device from a backup, or switch to a new device, local save data may be lost.
To protect your progress, avoid uninstalling the App. Restoring from an iCloud device backup should preserve it.
If you've lost progress due to an iOS or device issue, we sympathize, but we have no way to recover it because we don't store this data on our servers.
iCloud save sync is planned for a future update.
I'm stuck on a wave
Strategies that tend to work:
- Mix tower types. A single tower type rarely scales — combine damage-dealers with slow/crowd-control.
- Build generators early. Power availability limits tower count.
- Target the chip, not the body. Prompt Injector ignores shields and hits the neural chip directly.
- Upgrade the Core Generator. Higher output unlocks higher-tier towers.
